My site is down, what do I do?

We need to determine what is causing your site to go down and whether the issue affects the entire site or just a specific page.

We are automatically alerted to outages through a monitoring tool called Statuscake, so in most cases we are already investigating the issue before it is reported to us.

In some instances, Azure (the hosting provider) may recycle or restart a site if it detects a problem. When this happens, the site is usually restored within minutes, often almost immediately.

If only a single page is affected, it may be due to a recent change in the CMS, for example, a newly added call-to-action button with an incorrect or broken link. It’s worth checking recent updates in the CMS first in these cases.

If your site does not come back online within a few minutes, please contact emergency@semantic.co.uk and we will assist you as soon as possible.
